The child of a mafia boss’ is confronting life in prison for gunning down his best buddy who simply “liked” a Facebook photo of his girlfriend.
Victim Francesco Prestia, 19, was left dead in an olive field in Mileto, Italy, with three slugs in his chest.
His executioner has been named in Italian media as 15-year-old Alex Pititto, the child of ‘Ndrangheta mafia supervisor Salvatore Pititto, known as ‘El Tio’, or the Uncle.
Pititto saw the Facebook “like” as an “lack of respect”, according to local media reports.
He is accounted for to have transformed himself into police and drove them to the olive woods where he had left his companion’s body.
Nearby media reports that the high school mobster had since quite a while ago presumed his companion had affections for his girlfriend.
In any case, when he saw that Francesco had ticked the “like” catch for another photo on her Facebook profile he assembled his companion to a conference in a remote field and gunned him down, reports said.
